Video killed the gardening star

Yesterday’s Georgia Organics newsletter was filled with all sorts of farm porn, including a link to the new Georgia Organics University channel on Vimeo.

GOU is chock full of lessons for every skill level, from Getting Into Gardening to Aquaponics. It’s a mix of conference presentations and newly commissioned videos, and they’re all free, thanks to a grant from the USDA.

Guess who won’t be getting anything done around the wee homestead tonight. Onions, Seed to Transplanting is already queued, followed by Fruit Tree Planting. Hubby may have to stage an intervention to keep me from watching the whole shebang in one sitting. Let’s hope for his sake there’s a video on uprooting numb buns from sofa cushions.

That’s a nice resource! I have to alter things a bit because I’m not in Georgia but there’s a lot of good info. Thanks for sharing it!

Glad you like it! I really enjoyed the one on mushroom cultivation. We’ve been toying with the idea of inoculating a couple of logs with oyster mushrooms, since the north side of our house is a shady, damp, useless space…
