Thanks to friend and blog reader Meg for these great tips that save cash and reduce waste.

1.  Make your dish soap last approximately 1,001 times longer.

“Put 1 part dish soap and 2 parts water in a spray bottle, and use for washing dishes.  A couple sprays will clean anything — it spreads out better than drops of liquid soap, so you can use very, very little.  Cleaning win!

If you use the spray bottle plan for your dish soap, you can buy Method soap in refill bags.  No plastic bottles go into the trash.”

2.  One simple thing you can do to reduce the 13,000,000,000 paper towels used by Americans every year. (Yes, that’s billion.)
