Earth Hour is almost here, North America. Turn out those lights from 8:30 until 9:30 this evening, and join the largest, symbolic mass participation event in the world. According to earthhour.org, millions of people in 7,001 cities across 152 countries and territories will switch lights off for an hour as a massive show of concern for climate change.
Hubby and I look forward to this every year. Candles come out, as do board games, books of poetry, and Brad’s guitar. It’s almost like indoor camping. The hour always goes so quickly and is so enjoyable that we wonder why we don’t do it more often.
So turn off the light, peoples — it’s time to play in the dark!
