The last couple of weeks have been pretty lousy, health-wise, with my parents, and today wasn’t the greatest. Hubby, being full of awesome, mused all day upon potential comfort food that might cheer me up a bit. So what did he concoct?
Well, it started with two sticks of butter.
Then an entire bulb of garlic. Yes, I said bulb.
Oh, and 3 1/2 cups of cream.
But the pièce de résistance was a cup of grated brie in this death-by-dairy soup.
Allegedly, a pound of mushrooms and other healthy nubbins were floating around, but I find this hard to believe.
The best part? He finally got to use that fancy new immersion blender. Best $1.51 we’ve ever spent.
