Fall’s last call

Today’s the last day for picking up our fall CSA groceries. It’s more bitter than the root veggies we’ll gnaw on until the spring. But at least we preserved literally 2 million pounds of tomatoes, jams, apples, peaches, figs, salsa, pepper jelly, sauerkraut, beets, okra and more to last us through.

But that doesn’t mean we won’t have psychotic dreams about the fresh stuff (see above).

Y’all don’t forget to subscribe to your local CSA when you can to keep local, fresh food growers in business to fill our bellies. We’re signing up for ours as soon as Chris and Jenny will let us.
