A monster of a reading habit

Have to admit, I’m a minimalist except when it comes to two things: books and art. In my world, you can never have enough of either. Our lovely friends and family must have figured this out because they showered us with a pile of books at Christmas.

The selections are a pretty good indicator of how supportive everyone has been of our weird little lifestyle. Brad and I will post highlights throughout the year, particularly from the project-oriented guides.

Without further ado, here’s a list of the environmentally-flavored titles we’ll be enjoying this winter…

The Holistic Orchard: Tree Fruits and Berries the Biological Way by Michael Phillips
DIY Projects for the Self-Sufficient Homeowner by Betsy Matheson
Hot, Flat and Crowded by Thomas L. Friedman
Hay Fever: How Chasing a Dream on a Vermont Farm Changed My Life by Angela Miller
How to Store Your Home-Grown Produce by John and Val Harrison

and just for fun…

Curses and Blessings for All Occasions by Bradley Trevor Greive
The Wild Things: A Novel by Dave Eggers (Complete with furry, WhereTheWildThingsAre cover. Can’t stop petting it long enough to read it.)

What books are on your nightstand, interwebs?
